Our Beliefs

WE BELIEVE the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. ( 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

WE BELIEVE in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. ( Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 57:15; Matthew 28:19)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. ( Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; John 1:1)

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that every human being is born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become accountable sinners in thought, word and deed. ( Genesis 1:26-27, John 5:40, Ephesians 2:1-3)

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. ( Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:6-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. ( Mark 16:6; Acts 1:1-11; Hebrews 3:1)

WE BELIEVE in "that blessed hope," the personal, pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ( Titus 2:11-14; Luke 12:35-40; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

WE BELIEVE that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. ( John 3:5; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:23)

WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting felicity of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost. ( Luke 16:19-26; Luke 23:42,43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:11-15)

WE BELIEVE that Christian Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, to show forth in a solemn and wonderful way our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior and our union with HIM in death to sin and resurrection unto newness of life. ( Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 18:19)

WE BELIEVE that it is the duty of each believer to live a holy life unto God, keeping himself unspotted from the world, and that it is God̢۪s intension that this shall be accomplished in the believer̢۪s life by his constant dependence on the divine enablement of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We believe that this experience of deliverance from sin and empowerment for service is designated in the Scripture as the filling with the Spirit rather than His baptism. Thus the baptism with the Spirit is not an experience to be sought following regeneration but is already an accomplished fact. The baptism with the Spirit is not demonstrated by speaking in tongues nor is this experience to be sought or promoted by the believer. ( Romans 8:14; Romans: 12:1-2; Galatians 5:16-26; Ephesians 4:17-25; Ephesians 5:18)
